bond or cash deposit) for a minimum total of $60,000, including: $25,000 coverage for bodily injury to or death of
1 person; $50,000 coverage for bodily injury to or death of 2 or more persons; and $10,000 for property damage in

liability insurance are subject to having their vehicle registration suspended. Registration of your vehicle(s) may be denied or delayed until insurance is
obtained.
Personal injury protection (PIP) and Uninsured motorist

Make sure that when you
drive a vehicle in New Mexico, you have proof of automobile liability insurance in your
possession. Drivers who receive uninsured notifications, but
have proper insurance coverage in force, should refer to the Insurance Verification page for instructions on how to
provide proof of insurance documents to the program.
Drivers who provide fraudulent proof of insurance documents to
the program may be prosecuted according to the State of New Mexico's statutes.
